Deborah

Kelly

Deborah L. Kelly lives in Prince George, B.C., and has been writing poetry for more than forty years. Her works have been published in numerous anthologies, books, and literary magazines in Canada, the USA, India and Uzbekistan. Deborah has also been a featured presenter at Poetry in the Park, Holy Wow Poets, Surrey Muse, World Poetry, Edge of the Page Poetry, and The Tagore Society, as well as other venues around the Lower Mainland of Vancouver.

Deborah is Co-founder/facilitator of Creative Quills in Verse, a North Vancouver writing group in partnership with North Shore Writer’s Association.

She has also co-hosted, and appeared on a number of occasions on World Poetry Co-Op Radio, 100.5FM, in Vancouver. Deborah’s debut poetry collection, Through My Eyes, was published in 2015 by Silver Bow Publishing. She was also an impressive Fourth place winner in the Rabindranath Tagore Awards, 2015, for her work, “Voices of Nature;” Honorable Mention, Vancouver Tagore Poetry Awards, 2016; Distinguished Poet Award, WIN, 2016.  She also received Honorable Mention in the Bharat Awards, Short Story International Competition, India, 2017, and received the Distinguished Writer - International award, India, 2017. Deborah served as Director/Secretary with New Westminster’s Royal City Literary Arts Society, 2013/14; she is currently Membership Co-Ordinator, Events Host and Board Assistant.

Deborah’s second book, Spirit’Song, was published by XpressPublications, in association with the Rabindranath Tagore Society, India, 2015. Her third book, Heartworks, was published by Silver Bow Publishing, 2016. Cry of Humanity is Deborah’s fourth book of poetry.Type your paragraph here.
