MICRO PROSE POEMS.

REVIEW BY Lindy Bergin Conroe,

So far, I would have to say Sunglasses in a Dark Room is my favorite of your micro prose/poetry books. Being half Irish, I have seen things for much of my life through “sunglasses in a dark room.” There is a feeling of loss, of all kinds, that runs throughout the book as a theme, making it feel very human and relatable. And then there is just enough sprinkle of absurdity/strangeness to keep one from falling into a maudlin abyss. Oddly enough, I think that the loss element makes the reader feel less alone; that is, someone else is in this state, too. Which is to be human. Which is to feel camaraderie with other humans. It is a bleak place, this life, but Sunglasses in a Dark Room reminds us that we all inhabit it as co-travellers. I think the emphasis on our state of humanity makes this book the most poignant and the strongest one in your literary canon. – Lindy Bergin Conroe, author of Clearly Hidden
