The Pacific Coast has permeated Leonard Neufeldt’s senses and his poetry. In the section “Pacific Cantos”, I loved the phrase in Canto 2 “anthology of purpose” and in canto 16, these resonant lines towards the end:  "an ocean washing through you,/the peace of darker darkness you feel/ and deeper see, strange / as love rummaging for words."  The interplay of sea and children struck me deeply too. This is ‘soul work’ grounded deeply in the world as it is.   ~ Susan McCaslin, author of ‘Into the Mystic’ and ‘Demeter Goes Skydiving’.
